Programs

Our primary program involves promoting the interests and welfare of serving members of the Australian Defence Force, veterans, first responders and their families.

To do this we provide services including:

• Preparation and serving of meals to clients of RSL Care SA facilities and other groups and individuals
• By providing essentials such as food, clothing and hygiene packs for clients of RSL Care SA plus other groups and individuals as needed.
• By facilitating any support services that allow a person to live safely in their home. To help individuals who are aging, or have physical or mental needs, to live independently. 
• By carrying out rehabilitation services and family support services in the homes of veterans and first responders.
• By the delivery of events for See Differently OP K9 specifically focused on funding for assistance dog puppies and other worthy causes. 

Our other important program is to complement the services at The Jamie Larcombe Centre (JLC) in any charitable way by the provision of equipment, amenities, education, activities and events that improves the health and wellbeing of veterans, first responders, and their families, JLC staff and volunteers at the precinct.

We provide dedicated support for JLC including undertaking psycho-social engagements with clients as well as supplying emergency underwear, hygiene products, art supplies and children's activity packs. 
We purchase equipment and stores to enable all of the above to be completed efficiently by Op Unity volunteers. 

We encourage community support for veterans by acknowledging their sacrifices and supporting their journey back to civilian life. We promote awareness and direct support, so communities can ensure that veterans are not just appreciated for their past contributions, but also empowered for their future endeavours.

We provide personal community support for senior veterans’ where social isolation is often detrimental to their well-being. For some in their senior years their only outing for the week may be a morning coffee or lunch. It is an opportunity for them to look forward to and enjoy speaking with someone of a like mind who can make it happen.
